What Gauge does

Gauge, at withgauge.com, positions itself as an "Agent-Led Growth" platform. It answers two questions that sit next to each other: how AI assistants recommend your product to people, and how AI coding agents choose and use your product when they build software.

  • Gauge Chat (AEO): tracks mentions, citations and competitors across AI search, then helps you act through recommendations and article drafts. This is the part comparable to other AI visibility tools.
  • Gauge Agents: benchmarks which tools coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor pick for real tasks, shows the sources behind those choices, and runs evaluations of how well the agent implements your product, with task traces and docs experiments.

The second product is unusual. For API and developer-tool companies, being the default choice of a coding agent is a new kind of agentic search visibility, and few vendors measure it.

Gauge pricing

Gauge Chat has two published tiers:

PlanPriceKey limits
Growth$599/month, self-serve600 prompts run daily (54,000 answers a month), ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, 3 seats, 18 articles a month, single location
EnterpriseCustomCustom prompts, seats and locations; adds Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Grok; sentiment analysis and exports

On Growth, Claude and Grok can be switched on with your own API key, billed by the provider. Sentiment analysis and exports are Enterprise-only. Gauge Agents is sold separately in monthly credit plans from $100 (1,500 credits) to $20,000, with $1,000 for 16,800 credits marked most popular; Gauge estimates $3 to $4 per evaluation. No free trial is published.

Strengths and trade-offs

Gauge's strengths are a high daily prompt volume on the entry plan, built-in content production that publishes straight to Webflow, Framer, Sanity or GitHub, and the coding-agent product. The trade-offs: the entry price is high for a small business, Growth covers three engines by default, and features like exports wait for Enterprise.

Alternatives

Teams that want a lower entry price can compare Analyze AI (from $99/month) or LLMrefs ($79/month, 11 engines). For a content-heavy workflow at enterprise scale, AirOps and Profound are the usual comparisons.

Gauge and GetPicked

Gauge is a content and measurement engine for growth teams, including a distinctive product for coding agents. GetPicked is built for smaller companies: a Pick Check (free with an account) across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, then copy-ready fixes that a human approves and that are verified after they go live, delivered with you rather than as a monthly content quota.

GetPicked wrote this page and sells a competing product. Facts above come from Gauge's own pages, linked below.
