What Scrunch does

  • Monitoring of prompts, topics and entities with citations, competitors and rankings
  • Insights: optimization guidance, citation analysis and AI bot crawl error detection
  • AXP (Agent Experience Platform): a lightweight, machine-readable version of your site for AI agents
  • Page audits, personas and AI agent traffic monitoring
  • Enterprise: SAML/OIDC SSO, RBAC and a Data API

What Scrunch does

Scrunch groups its product into three parts.

  1. Monitoring tracks your presence, position and performance across AI platforms for prompts, topics and entities, with citations, competitor rankings, AI bot traffic and benchmarks by persona, topic and region.
  2. Insights explains why you do or do not appear: which sources the models rely on, what to change, and where AI crawlers hit errors on your site.
  3. AXP (Agent Experience Platform) is the unusual part. Scrunch says it creates a parallel, lightweight version of your site translated for AI agents: compressed, machine-readable pages served to bots while people see your normal design. The goal is better crawl success and more citations.

The split matters when you read the numbers. Monitoring tells you how often you are named or cited for a prompt set; Insights and AXP work on the reasons, from which third-party sources the models trust to whether their crawlers can fetch your pages at all. Personas let you run the same prompts as different kinds of buyer, since answers often change with the stated role or need.

Scrunch says 500+ companies and agencies use it, naming Lenovo, Skims, Crunchbase and Penn State, and that it is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

Strengths and limits

Strengths. Published prices with large prompt allowances (350 custom prompts at the entry tier). Persona-based tracking reflects that answers change with who is asking. AXP and crawl error detection treat AI crawlers as a technical audience, which pairs well with checking your robots.txt and llms.txt.

Limits. The entry price is several times that of lighter monitors. AXP plan availability is not stated on the pricing page. As with other dashboards, content changes are still your team's job.

Scrunch alternatives

Teams evaluating Scrunch often compare Profound, AthenaHQ and Peec AI. If content production is the bottleneck, AirOps pairs visibility tracking with content workflows.

Scrunch and GetPicked

Scrunch is a platform for marketing and web teams: large prompt sets, persona tracking and AXP to change how agents read your site. GetPicked starts with a Pick Check (free with an account) across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, then gives a small company copy-ready fixes, or a done-with-you Fix Pack, and verifies them after they go live. Scrunch fits a team that wants a tool with infrastructure; GetPicked fits an owner who wants the fixes made with them.
