What Otterly.AI does
Otterly.AI describes itself as an AI search monitoring and optimization platform. Setup is short: you add the natural-language questions your customers might ask an assistant (it can turn existing SEO keywords into questions), attach your brand and competitors in a Brand Report, and choose a country for each prompt. From then on the prompts run every day, sent as a neutral, non-personalized user so browsing history does not skew the answers.
Each run records two things: whether your brand was mentioned in the answer, and whether your website was cited as a source. Those roll up into a Brand Visibility Index (coverage plus position) and a domain ranking that shows which sites the engines lean on. It is a clean example of AI rank tracking: a fixed prompt set, measured daily, compared with competitors.
The GEO Audit covers the other half: it checks whether AI engines can crawl and read your pages and returns a checklist of fixes. For a quick self-check of the same basics, the robots.txt checker shows whether bots like OAI-SearchBot are allowed.
Otterly.AI pricing and plan limits
The help center lays out the tiers; the dollar or euro amounts are only on the pricing page.
| Lite | Standard | Premium | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search prompts | 15 | 100 (+100 packs) | 400 (+100 packs) |
| Workspaces | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| GEO audit URLs / month | 1,000 | 5,000 | 10,000 |
| API and MCP requests / month | Not listed | 2,000 each | 5,000 each |
| Agent Analytics events / month | Not listed | 200k | 1M |
| Looker Studio connector | Not listed | Yes | Yes |
All plans include daily tracking, unlimited brand reports and team members, 65+ countries and exports. Enterprise is custom. The free trial gives 50 prompts for 7 days, more than the Lite plan, so it is a good moment to test the full prompt list you care about.
Strengths and limits
Strengths. Simple setup, daily runs on every plan, unlimited seats, and a built-in crawlability audit. The mention-versus-citation split helps tell "the model knows us" apart from "the model links to us", which are different problems (see AI citations).
Limits. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude cost extra, so the base plan covers four engines. Fifteen prompts on Lite is a small sample. Like most monitors, it reports and recommends; writing and shipping the changes is on you.
Alternatives
Close alternatives are Peec AI (published plans, choose three models), Scrunch (larger prompt allowances, higher price) and AthenaHQ (credit-based, with a free entry tier).
Otterly.AI and GetPicked
Otterly.AI is a self-serve monitor: it tells you, every day, whether ChatGPT and the other engines mention or cite you, and its GEO Audit lists site issues to fix. GetPicked starts with a Pick Check (free with an account) across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok, then gives a small company copy-ready fixes, or a done-with-you Fix Pack, and verifies them after they go live. Otterly fits if you want to watch the numbers yourself; GetPicked fits if you want help making the changes.
GetPicked wrote this page and sells a competing product. Facts above come from Otterly.AI's own pages, linked below.
Questions
- How much does Otterly.AI cost?
- Otterly sells Lite, Standard and Premium plans with 15, 100 and 400 search prompts, plus custom Enterprise plans. Its help center says exact prices are on the pricing page, billed monthly or annually (annual at a discount) in USD or EUR depending on where you are. We could not load that page to confirm the amounts, so check it directly.
- Which AI engines does Otterly.AI include?
- Every plan includes Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons available on all plans.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. A 7-day free trial with no credit card, covering 50 search prompts and 100 GEO audit URLs. To keep monitoring after it ends you choose a paid plan. If your team already has an account, ask to be invited instead of starting a new trial.
- Is Otterly.AI worth it?
- It is a reasonable fit if you want low-cost daily monitoring with unlimited team members and a crawlability audit. It is less of a fit if you need Gemini or Claude without add-ons, or if your bottleneck is making the fixes rather than measuring.
